The Foundation of Goodness and Love joined the project to support veterans’ families in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovska community

The team of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi branch of the International Charitable Foundation for Good and Love joined the implementation of a project to support veterans’ families, which is being implemented by the Ackerman Veterans’ Shield NGO.

In May, the Foundation’s volunteers participated in joint events aimed at supporting veterans and their families. One of these events was the Peer to Peer unity retreat organized for women and children from veterans’ families.

The event was aimed at creating a space for communication, mutual support, and restoration of emotional resources. The participants had the opportunity to spend time with people with similar life experiences, to communicate, make new friends and feel the support of the community.

The Good and Love Foundation joined this initiative and prepared gifts for the children. For the young participants, it was a pleasant part of the day and brought positive emotions.

Supporting veterans’ families is an important area of the Foundation’s social work. Adapting to civilian life after service is a process that affects not only veterans themselves but also their loved ones. That is why it is important to create opportunities for communication, mutual assistance and strengthening of social ties.

The Foundation for Good and Love will continue to support initiatives aimed at helping veterans and their families, because a strong community begins with caring for people who are overcoming the consequences of war every day and building their lives.
