The Foundation of Good and Love together with the Kiliya community gave children a holiday and supported their talents
A celebration of childhood, talents and peace: how Kilia celebrated Children’s Day and the end of the Peace Through the Eyes of Children contest
On June 1, 2025, a real childhood celebration took place in the Kilia community – bright, warm and full of good emotions. The Festival of Talents, organized by the Foundation for Good and Love together with the Kiliya City Council, was held in the Flag Square in the center of the oldest city in Ukraine.
This year’s celebration of Children’s Day was especially significant because it was combined with the awarding of the winners of the drawing competition “The World through the Eyes of Children,” a large-scale creative project that brought together more than 2,000 students in grades 1-6 from all schools in the community.
How did the competition go?
The competition was held in two stages:
School – each school independently determined the winners.
Community – the 50 best works were put to an online vote among community members.
This creative project was aimed at encouraging children to think about peace and the future, to give them the opportunity to express themselves through colors, fantasy, and the sincerity of children’s imagination.
Gifts, joy and ice cream
During a gala concert in Kiliya, 51 finalists received gifts from the Foundation.
25 children – the first place winners – were awarded portable speakers.
26 children, the second place winners, received gifts and a trip to the cinema in Izmail.
All other participants – more than 2,000 children – had already received incentive gifts at their schools the day before.
And in the end, every little guest of the holiday received delicious ice cream!
The good that was born in Kilia
Kilia holds a special place in the heart of the Good and Love Foundation, because it was here that it all began. That is why we implement our projects – “The World through the Eyes of Children”, “The Best Diary”, creative events, support for schools and families – here with special warmth and care.
We are convinced that protecting childhood means acting, supporting, inspiring and loving. And we will continue to do so – with faith in the best and with an open heart.
