A large-scale celebration of care and joy: Foundation of Good and Love brings together over 300 participants in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi

On July 16, 2025, the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi hosted one of the warmest and largest events of this summer – a holiday for children with special needs and their parents, organized by the International Charitable Foundation of Goodness and Love.

The event was held on the territory of the Belgorod-Dniester Orphanage for Children with Disabilities and for the second year in a row has brought together families from different communities in the district, creating a space of care, support and mutual understanding.

The uniqueness of the event

This is the only event of its kind in the Odesa region, which annually brings together hundreds of families raising children with disabilities. For many of them, it is not just a holiday – it is an opportunity to go beyond their usual environment, meet like-minded people and feel part of a large community.

Some parents admitted that it was the first time they had been able to take their child to an event of this magnitude outside their village.

The program of the holiday

The celebration began with a colorful concert prepared by the children of the orphanage for the Day of Ukrainian Statehood. Then the children enjoyed an entertainment program:

• animators with life-size puppets
• foam party
• master classes in modeling, drawing, painting plaster figures
• board games, puzzles, outdoor competitions

Each child was able to show his or her creativity and emotion, and the Foundation’s volunteers and the youth of Christ the Savior Church supported the kids throughout the event.

While the children were busy playing, their parents had the opportunity to socialize, share experiences and receive humanitarian aid – clothes, hygiene products and diapers.

Care in every detail

At the end of the event, all the children received commemorative medals from the Foundation, as well as toys and stationery sets. Throughout the event, a food area was open, where volunteers treated guests to delicious pastries and drinks for free.

In total, more than 300 children and adults took part in the event.
