Gala concert, entertainment and free ice cream: Kilia celebrated the International Children’s Day with a brightly colored gala concert

On June 1, all settlements of the Kiliya community held bright events dedicated to the International Children’s Day. In particular, in Kiliya, the children were greeted with an interesting gala concert, various entertainments and free ice cream, which was traditionally donated by the “Foundation of Goodness and Love”.

The event was hosted by the characters of the Ukrainian cartoon Mavka – Mavka and Lukash.

The photo zone and recreation area were also decorated in this style.

The concert program was unusual, as Kiliya residents had the opportunity to see completely new faces. The winners of the “Extravaganza of Talents” festival, which was attended by community members aged 6 to 14, performed for the audience. The 24 best performances were selected out of 70 applicants who submitted videos according to the contest terms. On the day of the holiday, the audience watched 19 of them. At the end of the gala concert, all the winners were awarded with a diploma, a commemorative statuette and a small gift, which were presented to the talented children by Mayor Vyacheslav Chernyavsky.

But first, the head of the community addressed the audience with a wish for a wonderful summer and a peaceful sky above their heads.

During and after the concert, several locations for active and healthy recreation were open in the Flag Square. In particular, the organizers have prepared workshops on bracelet weaving, salt dough modeling, drawing, wood cutting/burning, rug weaving, and motanka doll making. There were separate areas for recreation on the lawn, as well as equipment for active games.

A bright surprise for all the children was their favorite delicacy – ice cream. The ice cream was distributed free of charge to everyone by the ICF “Foundation of Goodness and Love”. This is a good tradition that has been maintained for over a decade. In total, three thousand servings of ice cream were delivered to the Kiliya community for the holiday, about 900 of which were distributed in Kiliya and the rest in the villages of the TG.
