Help That Starts with Compassion: Supporting the Seriously Ill and Their Families
Every month, an increasing number of families caring for seriously ill loved ones turn to the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi branch of the “International Charitable Foundation of Goodness and Love.”
These are elderly people, bedridden patients recovering from injuries and surgeries, people with cancer, and others who require constant care.
We consider each such request on a case-by-case basis. After all, there’s always a story behind it. Sometimes a family member is forced to quit their job to be with a loved one around the clock. Expenses for medication, hygiene products, and care become ongoing, and the family’s own resources are not always sufficient.
That’s why it’s important for us not just to provide the necessary assistance. It’s important to listen, talk, and offer support. Because caring for a seriously ill person requires tremendous strength and patience, and sometimes a simple, kind word helps them find the strength to keep going.
It is especially valuable that people learn about the Foundation from one another and recommend that those who truly need support reach out to us.
Humanity has always been and remains the guiding principle of our work. And when people are surprised by our care and compassion, we simply reply: we do good for others because we are volunteers with the Foundation of Goodness and Love.
We would like to thank all of our partners and volunteers, thanks to whom we are able to stand by those who are in particular need of help today.
