“Spring is here”: a large-scale children’s festival that brought together more than 300 children from vulnerable categories
The International Charitable Foundation for Good and Love organized a large-scale children’s festival “Spring is Here”, which became a special space of unity, support and sincere children’s emotions.
This time, the main goal of the event was not just to organize a holiday, but to unite children of different vulnerable categories in one space where everyone can feel equal among equals.
The festival was attended by over 300 children, including:
- children with disabilities and inclusive features
- Children from families of internally displaced persons
- Children from families of fallen soldiers
- Children from families of missing defenders

Uniting for a common goal
The festival “Spring is here” was the first experience of large-scale cooperation between several organizations. The event was implemented jointly with partners –
Charitable Foundation “Karna” and CO “Heart of Free People”.
Together they created not only an event, but also a symbol – the name and concept of the festival, which reflects the main thing:
spring – as a new beginning, as hope and as faith in the future of children.
Geography of participants and community support
The event was attended by families not only from the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, but also from local communities throughout the district.
The support of local governments and education departments was especially important, as they helped organize transportation for the children to the event:
- Old Cossack community (2 buses)
- Uspensky community
- Marazliyivska community
Families from the Molohivska and Shabivska communities also took part in the festival.
Locations that created a festive atmosphere
Various interactive and creative zones were organized for children, where everyone could find something to their liking:
Creative locations
- painting plaster figures (made by volunteers)
- applications (also created by volunteers)
- coloring books

Activities and entertainment
- board and outdoor games
- aqua makeup
- animation program

Social component
- creation of postcards for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Treats.
- cotton candy
- drinks
- home baking

All the children received gifts from partners and sponsors:
sweets from the Kopiyka supermarket, breakfast cereals, chocolate eggs, and LEGO sets.
The work that goes on behind the scenes
Preparations for the festival began in advance and required considerable effort.
The Foundation’s team of volunteers prepared treats, created creative materials, organized the space and helped with the event.
It is thanks to this daily, often invisible work that we managed to create an atmosphere of warmth, care and a real holiday for every child.
Partnership and support
We express our special gratitude:
- Pastor Volodymyr Oleksiyovych, pastor of the Salvation Church
- Viktor Petrovych, the church manager, for providing space and support
- youth of the Grace Church and the Pilgrim Club
- inclusive club “Life without Borders”
- students of the Belgorod-Dniester Pedagogical College – for their active assistance and participation
A result that cannot be measured in numbers
The most valuable result of the festival was the emotions of the children.
Sincere smiles, joy, new acquaintances, hugs – all this created an atmosphere where children could forget about the worries of war for a while and feel like children.
It is moments like these that build faith in goodness, support, and the future.
More than an event
The Here is Spring festival is not just an event.
It is a space where trust is born, where barriers disappear, and where every child feels valued.
This is a step towards a society where there is a place for everyone.
